I have been workin on this tmaxx and havent removed anything from the motor but noticed some feul seaping from the base of the carb. it started ideling real erratic. But ran ok before, i sealed it and waitng but just wondering if ya think that was the cause?

No doubt. When you set the carb, you need to press down very hard in order to seal it against the O-ring while you tighten it down.

it was just weird cause i didnt remove the carb or anything and it was running fine b4 it started to happen.

ya. it was a used truck a buddy of mine picked up. So i am just tryin to go through it for him to make his first nitro experiance enjoyable.

Hey guys I'm back, so i pulled the carb and sealed it last night, then this morning i put it all back together, and was good for like the first minute of warm up, then right right back to up and down idle, kinda like surges. Now what should i do. Tried richening and leaning, brought my idle down to where it wouldnt run so got it back up just high enough to stay running and surge surge surge? Really ticking me off,any ideas guys? oh and is there any way to test for an air leak other than assuming thats what it is. I also sealed the back plate while i was messing with the starter gears. Thanks
