Might be an idea to pick up an extra to have on hand.
Honestly, who cares about a warranty in a case like this???
I hope you're able to find the parts you need before you'll have to install ski's and a track for 'ice boating'!

Yes it is on back order on Proboat site.Prop is available at Amazon.Any other site

Heavy duty flex shaft available at most sites but not the one I am looking flex.I think difference in heavy duty is that it is rigid and not flexible while the other is flexible.Am I correct here

I’m not sure, but reading the description from wickeds link on the heavy duty part, they may have seen a common issue with these and updated the part?

Nope not in stock their either.
Damn. I need to look at the pages better.

What about if I get heavy duty flex shaft. Will that work
I don't know. There really isn't much to them. If you buy a longer one, I would imagine with a bit of fabricating, you can make it work.

I would still contact Horizon and see about a warranty replacement.

Also what I did have done wrong for this to happen and how could I prevent it in future.
I placed a big order from them once. Took 3 months to get half the order and then another 6 weeks to get a refund from paypal for the crap I never received.

Do I have to order drive dog as well with flex shaft and prop.

Looks like it does. But I have no idea.
Do I have to order drive dog as well along with flex shaft and prop and if yes than where drive dog fit.

I am not sure. I looked for exploded views of this boat, but didn't see anything right off hand. Did any come in the documentation with the kit? I guess if you don't have that part on your boat, you probably need it. Pics of the part in question and your boat (preferrably where we can see the components) would help greatly here.

I figured it out.Dog drive is part of flex shaft so once I lost flex shaft and prop,I also lost dog drive.
I have ordered flex shaft and prop.Dog drive is part of flex shaft and comes with it and I do not need to order it seperately. Now I have a question about placing the flex shaft and prop back correctly. Can someone guide how to do it correctly and what precautions I need to take.Second I want to prevent this happening again so what I could have done wrong or what I should do in future to prevent.Off course first step is to install flex shaft and prop back correctly and I need help in this of you all to guide me.If you have a link how to do it than please send it here.

You'll want to grease that flex shaft. I use Mobil1 synthetic grease on all things RC related. And use 242 blue Loctite on any set screws in the assembly.

First, it's SonicWake, not SonicWake (although ProBoat/Horizon Hobby apps make a Shockwave...but, that was a smaller boat).

Second, yes, the cause was the collet. It is possible that it loosened if you have the boat in reverse, but it's equally possible that you didn't have it tightened enough. A third possibility, which is sorta-kinda related to the second possibility, above, is, if you grease the flex cable all the way to the end, that would have probably caused it to loosen.

In greasing the flex cable, you should never grease the end that inserts into the collet. That's, simply, asking for it to come out. At the same time, as many no, the stock collet is junk. A lot of useful information related to the SW36 can be found in the SonicWake group on Facebook, as well as within the OSE forum.
