Tonight was one of those nights.

I was at the mall with my fiancee and my 2 daughters. It was back-to-school shoe shopping night. We got my girls their shoes and since they were such good eggs, we treated them to a stop at Cold Stone Creamery. They don't live in the city with me, so they had never been to one. We got our mashes and sat on a bench right at the entrance to our local Macy's. We're just sitting there talking and I noticed a guy walk out of Macy's who looked very familiar. So I turned to my fiancee and said "Hey, doesn't that guy look just like Chris Daughtry?" She looked but he was gone. Hmmm. Weird.
So we went to do a bit more shopping. Ended up getting stuck at a Macy's makeup counter for like 20 minutes while my fiancee was picking out new lipstick. Walked out into the main hall and I just looked in front of us and said to Carole "Hey, that's definitely Chris Daughtry." She was like "hell no, it can't be him." These two other high school girls walked by us and stopped and were staring at him. I said to them "that's totally Chris Daughtry, isn't it?" They said it was definitely him. Next thing I know, he goes walking off down the hall. 5 seconds later, the 2 high school girls go running off to catch him, with my fiancee and my youngest daughter hot on their heels. Those maniacs chased him halfway across the mall while my oldest and I tried our damnedest to keep up. Finally we saw them disappear down an escalator. When we got to the escalator they had finally run his ass down and were getting his autograph. I just laughed my ass off because I wouldn't doubt they would have tackled him and pinned him down if they needed to.
So anyway, yes, we met Chris Daughtry tonight. Turns out he's playing a concert at the New York State Fair tomorrow night and was out shopping when we ran into him.

He was super cool. He signed an autograph for my fiancee and shook her hand and said thanks for all the complements.

The same thing happened to me once... except it was Darrell Green of the Washington Redskins... he held the door open for my mom and she had no idea who he was. My father an I were going nuts!

Great Story Candyman!

Am I the only one that had to google this guy? lol. Now that I heard one of the songs i recognise it but did not know the name. Great story none the less. I saw Joe Montana in Fort Bragg at a little store by he campground. He had 2 body guards with him lol I was like OMG but we just smiled and said hi he kinda nodded with a smile it was pretty cool. I didnt ask for a autograph cause I figured he gets enough of that.

LMAO! Nope, I googled him also.
I used to drive limos in New York, and if I were to list the celebs I met, I'd need 2 pages here. Some of them are like your neighbor or your best friend, and oddly enough, it's the one's that aren't REALLY famous who are the biggest Aholes. They actually THINK they are important.
