So I was out driving the other day and realized that my front tires were spinning but not my rear. But sometimes they both work again. I don't know what to check to see where the problem is.

If the rear goes in and out I'm betting diff or drive shaft pin. Maybe a spun hex if it's an open diff?

Well I have portal axles, which gears should I check?

Theoretically if both don't work it's the gear for both, the ring, pinion and or diff gears. If it's the left that's dead, I'd go left Portal, and same for the right.

On my 10.2 I sheared the 3 bolts into my rear locker.

Okay its the rear wheels that don't spin, so ill check the middle differential.
