some tech help, please

Good afternoon to all-

so, here's the thing...
I have a Specktrum DXS transmitter that I am trying to bind with a microwarbird P-51. When I follow the directions, things SEEM to work OK, and I have all flight controlls which respond correctly. However, I have no throttle at all. Motor will not respond to throttle.
Can someone give me some direction here as to what I need to do to get the spinnie thing on front spinning? And please keep in mind, I am not a tech person at all.
