Hey guys, thanks for the kind thoughts, and laughs. Rolex pretty much summed it up, my left leg folded up under me in a very rapid fashion, with my 300 lbs coming down on top of it, tearing the muscle. The hospital said it is a ruptured quadracep. I went to the surgeon again today for the mri but they can't do any surgery until the skin on the knee heals. Since I also tore the skin off he top of my knee and he is worried about infection he won't do the surgery until the skin on the knee heals up some. I have another appointment with the surgeon on Fri to go over the mri results and find out exactly how bad it is and what course of action he will be taking. I have no movement at all in the left thigh, I can bend the leg back because that uses the hamstring, but I can not return it to straight, I have to actually pick up my leg and move it. You can see the muscle flex but noting happens. I can not stand at all without crutches, and just getting up to go take a piss is a major chore. . They have me on 1000 mg of vicadin every four hours but it's not doing a whole lot for the pain

My wife and sons have been absolutely awesome through all this, I would be in even a bigger mess without them. My 4 year old has impressed me so much with all the help he has given me during the day while my wife and 8 year old are at school and work, but thank God for my family! . I'm sorry I didn't get on sooner to let you guys know whats been going on but I have been in a tremendous amount of pain, and just really down. I'll let you all know what happens after I see the surgeon again on Friday. Thanks again for the kind thoughts.

lol that sucks man, i flinch just reading it!!!

Good to see your hanging in there NC. Hope that the Dr. gives you plenty of Rx for the pain. ;)

It's good to hear your being well taken care of, family is great!

Keep your head up bro, and stay off the ice.

Wow Joe! You really need to pay attention to where you are walking! :D I hope everything goes well for you my friend. We miss you around here. I had to wait almost a week before I got to see anyone when I broke my leg. The ER gave me vicadine as well... and it was not a whole lot of help either. Hopefully you will know something soon as to what needs to be done. I know I hated having to wait to find out what was wrong. We are all here for you.

Scooby is right... a new RC just might be what the doctors ordered! I got the CRT while I was home with my leg up for three months. I was surprised when the wife aproved the purchase... of course we were not married yet and I still had control of my money... might have had something to do with it! Get well soon boss man!

Tom

As you can see^^^^^Tom and I made a bet on the Super Bowl...Guess who won LOL

Wow.. Sorry to hear this NC.. hope it al works out in the end..
not pull your ass over the the paint booth and get to work..

Nice avatar Tom!

Mel, I wish I could be painting, but my rc room and paint set up is in the basement and no way in hell I can make it down the stairs. So I am stuck with no rc, no painting, nothing but crap on tv, man this sucks!

buy the toyota or ford highlift kit from tamiya. it should hold you over. though its 450$. hey man glad to hear your all right. i know that fall must have been "fun"

Damn bro, sorry to hear about your accident. Can't even imagine the pain you must be in.

Dude ya got to play this! The wife and kids are gonna help as much as they can. Living room will soon be converted to the r/c room.
Make sure they have all your favorite movies playing, plenty of snacks...
Don't get up and moving very fast. At least while the family is home.

J/K Hope you are up and around pretty quick.

Excellent advise, Digger. :hehe:
Joe, have your young son bring all your painting supplies upstairs so you can spray in the dining room. Leave enough time for him to take it back down before anyone else gets home. Tell your wife that all that stubborn dust over everything is from your son fluffing your pillows.

And you tried to clean house while she was gone, but it was just too painful.
Keep apologizing and tell her you will try again tomorrow.

That's a great idea, but unfortunately even with the insurance from my wifes job, all the copays are wiping me out, I can't even afford to pay attention right now lol, and it's only just begun.

Too bad he is only 4, and no way in hell he can bring up the compressor, it weighs more than he does :hehe:

Well, I have a 10:30 appointment again with the surgeon tomorrow to go over the results of the mri, so I should have a better idea of exactly what I will be in for, I really just want to get this over with so I can start the healing then the rehab so I can get back to some sort of a life.

Thanks again guys for the thoughts and laughs.
