Hey. If I decided to solder my motor directly to the esc's wire leads would I still need capacitors? I need to replace the motors brushes and thats gonna be a hasle and I'm not sure how to get the capacitors to stay soldered to the motor. They usually come off all the time. How do I do this correctly?

What I usually do that works great for me is solder the capacitors on to the motor tabs on the opposite of the side you are soldering the ESC power wires on to, then you never have to worry about them coming loose when you are unsoldering the power wires to take the motor out for maintenance. And yes you will still need the capacitors.
