Been there, yes you will need a change of shorts! One of the Thunderbirds snuck up on me at a pond on the base. It was dead quiet....about 4 in the morning and of course I was hammered.
Out of nowhere the SOB swooped down to about 20-30 feet above the pond, hit full burn spraying water everywhere. I was instantly sober! I know he was laughing his ass off too, never found out who he was.

It's an F/A-18. They were given special clearance to fly below 100 feet for an air show in Detroit, and the pic was taken as they were practicing over the river, prior to the show.

the ones i saw sunday were pretty low to. they snuck up on us, and popped out behind a building. all 6 of them, full burn right over our head.. never seen so many people hit the deck so quick.
