What's run in the able? I think u meant to say snow,it is possible however no matter what you do this type of environment will make your Maxx get older faster, lol ....first waterproof your electronics,I do this by simply " ballooning" my electronics,...ballooning is the old anciant art of stretching ballons over your servos and rx,zip tie as needed, the wires should be coming out of the opening in the balloon, second thing is your bearings,u must coat all of your bearings well with a grease that does not thicken in cold,Dnt be stingy here ,I use a grease for bicycles that is absolutely perfect, third is your engine ,....Dnt use an airfilter that has a 360 degree filtration that just allows more places for splashes of water to enter your filter, instead use something like the stock Maxx filter and make a baffle out of old lexan body parts to deflect water,..if and when your engine inhales water you must run it through, take off the filter squirt some marvel in there and run it, fourth thing is your tire/wheel those little holes that are there in the wheel will store so much water inside the wheel that u won't even beleive it,plug them for the winter and completely glue the beads to keep the water out, also put a piece of duct tape over the hole in your windshield to further deflect water from entering places u don't want it to......if I remember anything else I will post,, good luck man I'm waitin for winter myself, lol.

I head the only one you have to worry about is the turning servo ? And u can black tap it I hear but I think that look trash and I don't have any holes in my body is there any thing that u can just spray on them to waterproof the servo like that stuff for ur shoes and ur receiver is ok any it sense its in that plastic box ?

---------- Post added at 2:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 2:23 AM ----------

And grease what it say all my stuff is sealed like the revo is like my my rear diff and my front one and my trans is and all the hubs drive axles r sealed I'm pretty sure all that stuff is sealed

Yah mainly reciever water proofing, the ballon trick works great and always clean and oil your bearings after every run. I use dupont teflon bearing oil stuff is awsome it also repeals water away. If your planning on running alot in winter i would consider the factory water proof steering servo traxxas has. i run a set of Full Force ski kit on front of my winter time truck, and paddle downs on back.:D

High Speed Low Drag:whhooo:

But ant the resever in the plastic box so its fine and long u don't drive the truck in pudds that r over the Chassie what servo # is the one that traxxas make ? Can't u buy stuff u can just spray on the servo to make it waterproof ? And ant the 2070 servo waterproof? The break/gas one should be fine since it sits so high and just the turning one and the revere one is the one to worry about right and what the hell r u guys talking about greaseing what everything seals I think there is no bearings I see

---------- Post added at 6:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 6:20 AM ----------

And I don't drive when the rain is comeing down out side just when it is done raining and the ground is wet that what I mean bye driveing in the rain

none of the servos are safe water and snow splash every ware... same with the rx even thought the box is sealed it still leaks. with the servo's the main entry point is around the shaft if you spray water proofing in their your servo will be jammed. If you think your truck has no bearings i suggest you sit down with your manual and get familiar with your truck.

i run my Maxx in the snow, but try to avoid to much deep water. after each snow run, i tear it down and dry everything off and oil it up ! of course i live in MN so i have to run in the snow if i want to play over the winter months ! just use common sense, i dont go blowing through 8 inches of powder, nor do i run through deep heavy wet snow. wrap a sock or aluminum foil around your head to to help keep the heat in the motor. and i dont run when it's brutally cold out !

Please, please, please relax and slow down. This is not a chat room where you have to type at a thousand miles per hour so 20 other people don't post before you.
Look around and read the other posts. Only yours is almost impossible to read. When members have to take extra time to try to interpret your post, you'll soon find that you'll be getting ignored.

Come on man, we all understand that not everyone is mechanical inclined, but for god sakes. I have been following this thread and answered a few of your questions, myself and others have told you to get to know if your truck. You would think by now you would have looked at a picture or instruction of some kind.
You have bearings on your axles, trans, engine, differentials, steering.
One last time, everyone on this site likes to give help/advice, but you need to do some of the leg work and get some idea of what your working with.

And I read about my truck and it said its sealed and its all most maintenance free

---------- Post added at 2:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 2:11 AM ----------

And I was just make sure if I thought the same thing some of you guys thought too sorry bro dam just double checking is all

Vertually maintenance means you just replace the bearing rather then service it.

Unfortunately even with the seals the bearings will get dirt/crud in them, when they do just replace them, AvidRC.com has all of the bearings you need for your truck & most are $1 each.

The Plasti-dip on the servos is to waterproof the case halves, you need to put a glob of thick grease under the servo arm around the servo out spline to keep water from getting in there, and it will need reapllied often as it gets thin/splashed off.

You can gut a spray paint can lid out to put over the engine airfilter to help keep water/snow off the filter.

Running in the rain/mud/snow will greatly increase the amount of maintinace you will need to do to keep your truck in running order.

Even with tbebest waterproofing job you will sooner or later get water intrusion somewhere you don't the water to be.

You're not very familiar with your truck to begin with, so I STRONGLY suggest you stay OUT of any wet conditions.
Sure, it sounds like it would be fun to run in the snow, but you'll be paying for it big time later on.

I live in Oregon and it rains a lot here and my 2.5 truck I put black tap on my turning servo and had it for 2 years nowand ant had a problem with any of my servos so I guess I'm lucky and my after run maintenance that I do on it is realy good I guess I'm doing something right LOL and I run when its wet out I just don't run when the rain is falling from the sky and the only thing I've done is tap up my turning servo and put my receiver in a plastic bag
