Nice tank! I have plans to build a nice reef up someday. Aquariums are one of my big hobbies.

It is alot of work but well worth it. Id say money is more of an issue than the time that goes into it haha. Nothing is cheap in this hobby. My tank is 6 months old (they get easier to take care of with age) and Id say i spend 4-5 hours a week messing with it.

Well my diatom bloom has come and is almost gone now, ammonia spiked and is now at zero, waiting for nitrites to drop now then cycle will be done.

Nitrates wont drop without a water change. Your cycle should be over if you have 0 amm. and 0 nitrITES with some nitrates.

My phone keeps correcting/changing nitrites on me lol. Not sure how many times its happened.

Small update. Running a new powerhead/internal filter, 250gph, its more flow than I was wanting but Ima just see how everything acts and then maybe limit the flow from the output with some filter pieces.

Also put in some small mushrooms I got for free and a Toadstool and xenia.

Just the 12k's on.

Starting to come together man. I dont understand how thats a filter though lol just looks like a powerhead to me. That amount of flow wont hurt anything. Stuff might looks kinda weird for a couple days but it will get used to it and be happier.

You have the option of running it as a filter but I'm just running the intake cover. It actually comes with two seperate filters/canisters that you can stack. Dont need a filter though since I'm running the 40g HOB already.

And thanks! Soon enough I'll ad some more color. can't wait.

I thought so but wasn't sure if they were rocks or coral and didn't want to look like an idiot , but I guess I do anyways! Not my hobby, cool and I'm interested but not at this time. I had them as a kid but I just had fake plants.

They do look kinda like plants though, I can see it. Just like any hobby, SO much to learn.

Hung my lights.

^^^Hopefully this summer I will need that for a 55-75g. I'm hoping petsmart will have a $/gallon sale on their tanks.

Some pics of some of my ricordea coral. Also some zoanthids only opened a little though.
