I recently recieved an Exceed Forza buggy and I'm still a total beginner.

So I'm breaking it in and, stupid me, I put the car up against a wall while still on the gound (so it wouldn't move) and reved it a few times. It was the car's third tank so (as I learned) it's ok to do that. I wasn't even thinking about the wheels not being able to move and after about 30 seconds, I saw some smoke coming from (I'm almost sure) the engine. I immediatly pinched the fuel line to turn off the car. I haven't had time to start it since then, but do you guys think I might have fried/melted something? would it be bad to try starting the engine again?:\

Was it like, heat smoke coming out from the cooling head, or just nitro smoke coming out of the exhaust?

if it's from the exhaust...then u need to tight up ur screws
if it's from ur cooling head...then it;s too lean over heat

It could be smoke from the CNC machining oil that is on every new engine. If you put any WD-40 or ARO in the engine it may also have spilled a bit on the exterior. You need to get a temp gun to know if it's overheating, or if you're short on cash just put a drop of water on the head next to the glow plug hole. It should sizzle off in about 3-5 seconds, any shorter and it's overheating.

Fixed....

So I started the engine and it works fine. Thanks for all your help, though

Just one thing, when I pull the gas and then let go, the trigger goes back to normal but it still revs the engine like I am holding the trigger. I'm pretty sure I just need to slide the rear collar on the throttle linkage up so it compresses the spring some more, is this true?
Here is what it looks like now:

You'll need to decrease the idle by turning the idle screw to the left (counterclockwise). It's the one under the part where the air filter goes when looking straight at the engine.

I'm pretty sure the idle is good. Cause when I first turn it on, it's fine, and once I apply brakes after reving it's fine. When I take of the air filter and do it, I can see the the whole sticks open until i apply brakes. The servo arm goes all the way back, but the linkage doesn't.

maybe try trimming your throttle on your radio? I had the same issue and it resolved mine.

pull your clutch bell off and check out the clutch shoes. Thats what could have been smoking when you had it against the wall. Very bad for the clutch, you may have melted the shoes and smoked the bearings.

Hi i bought a kyosho fazer and I took it out for a ride and the car just started accelerating even when I trimmed it to the minimum and after about 1 minute smoke was coming out of the motor I managed to stop it by flipping it upside-down. I thought the motor was burn so I tried starting it again and it started but it did the same as above but no smoke. I've had this problem for about 2 months and i cannot figure it out if anybody can help please help me I really don't want to keep on waiting

Thanks

It's normal. If the glow plug gets slightly loose and any combustion gasses escape, it'll build up oil in the well of the cylinder head. When the engine gets up to operating temperature, the oil will start to smoke off. I saw the same thing happen and questioned what was going on, but I could find nothing wrong. When I looked closer after it cooled down, it all made sense.

Clean all the crap off of it and it'll disappear.

I had noticed after i tried to strt it agin that some gas was coming out of the glow plug but that still didnt resolve my problem with they acceleration. And the car is verry clean but i dont know about the inside of the motor

I did change it because after it didn't want to start so I checked the glow plug and it was burnt so I used the glow plug on my other Kyosho and it started.
