Smarten me up on mini crawlers!

I'm really itching for my first mini, but not sure what platform to start with, or even what size. Its going to be crawling 90% of the time, maybe just a little trail running.

Is a 1/24 the most preferred mini size? Is a 2 speed transmission the best way to go in a mini? Whats a good choice for brand if I plan on upgrading it a lot?? Who makes a good kit to build?

I know I want to go with all the standard upgrades...brushless, brass if needed, good crawling wheel/insert/tire combo, links, good quality servos.

I also want to go 4ws, and would prefer a truck (or car) body as long as I can get lot of crazy flex. Scale details are cool, but I'm going to focus on performance first.

Come on crawl masters, help me pick something out so I can get started!

I have a trx4 1/18, axial scx24 and then i have bigger crawler but from the small ones i got those two. My honest opinion trx4 from the box is way more capable but in the other hand axial has been more fun to upgrade and is more detailet even have a driver inside from the box D i just posted today a video where i was measuring scx24 capabilities and it did go 35 degrees stock but trx4 made 40 and it was really close for 45 so like i said it climbs better from the box

Sorry about that, i was trying to edit my thread cause I've got giant sausage thumbs that can't type on a phone. I'll delete the other 2 if the mods havent gotten there yet.
