I have the Hot Racing(I think that's the brand) carriers on my merv, as well as the red Traxxas push rods. The problem is, the screws that hold the rods on fit the ball cups really loose. Both sides. They have a ton of play. Anybody ever run into this problem? Am I using the wrong rod ends ? Thanks as always for any info.

I just upgraded my shock push rods with a set from ST Racing Concepts that needed the hollow balls added to keep the slop out of them and keep the wheels on the ground. The Traxxas part # is 7138 for plastic or 7138x for steel.

I always use aircraft linkage parts on all my cars or trucks i dont like snap on anything. Ball links with screws are always better.Buy a threading die use solid rods thread only the ends were the links go much stronger.:D
