Hey has anyone heard of SlimLines Billet Fuel tanks for the Revo? All al construction inlluding the cap! Direct fit. The only disadvantage I can see would be weight maybe and not being able to see the fuel level without opening the cap.

Could this be a solution to REVO tank woes?

RDLogics made a similiar Alum. tank with fuel level indicator on the side.

IMO, it is for the BLING. Extra weight... Extra step to refuel... Extra (A lot extra) $$ for it!!! I personally will not spend that kind of money into something that will give me more trouble. As I said, if you want the "BLING" then go ahead :D

Here is the BLING BLING tank I am talking about.

Solution to fix the revo stock tank? Change the O-Ring and get done with it.

I do like the way they intergrated the fuel line into the side of the tank so you can check the fuel level. IMO it wouldnt just be for looks, but toughness. Wouldnt be that heavy because they put the Al on an "english wheel" to stretch it out and thin it down. Allthought it is probably expensive to pick. I have seen a couple on Ebay for about 20 bucks.

Wait till the refuel time and then we will see.

Take the body off, twist and twist...refuel and twist again? then put the body back on... what a PITA

Ditto with VB and Jet. I went and got 2 packs of the new tank seals and I have not had a problem since. I just change them out at the first sign of trouble.

There is another problem i see, and it has been mentioned before. When you screw the cap on and off, it wears down the metal, making metal shavings in the fuel, and that can be bad... very bad... :hammer:

Stock tank with new improved o-ring unless you bashing against an armored car or M1.

where do you get the new improved o-rings cause I've been having problems with my truck and keeping it running it seems like the tank pressure isnt holding and feeding the fuel it should.

Yeah, what they said, but with one additional suggestion. First time around, buy the entire tank rebuild kit and redo everything, just to be safe and cover your bases. After that, you can flip O-ring seals as needed. Just an idea. Good luck!

Not a bad suggestion, MW. I did that by accident, but I am glad I did as I found out the spring was bad on my lid. Never noticed it before because it still assisted shutting the lid on the tank, but it had dug a weird groove in the plastic of the lid that allowed it to slip off once the tank was fully closed. Not sure if this was part of my problems, but heck, it eliminated one suorce fo trouble!

Screw cap sucks. I had one on my t-maxx. After about the 15th tank of refilling it, I removed it and installed a buggy tank... It's a PITA especially when it's 20 degrees out and your fingers are numb.

should i just buy a complete tank or just the rebuild kit

what other places have you guys found air leaks or fuel leank on these thing cause I'm have a poop load of trouble

Now there is a Diehard Hardcore RC person right there

I'm pretty sure if my wife saw my butt out there in 20 or below weather racing my soon to be truck. She would do an intervention on my butt :argue: :)

revolutionary, read all of the above. All the problem areas are already noted.
