i know that the electronics are waterproof but if your running it in deep water will you have to lube the tranny/diff often?

The only thing that will effect the Slash, water-wise, is the motor (not sealed) and fine dirt and mud can get inside the pinion/spur gear compartment. I ran mine at a muddy outside track and some muf got in the spur gear area. washed it off with a hose, 2 screws to remove the spur/pinion cover and washed it out in there too. Just like new again....

Outside of that: Totally sealed.

They're "sealed" bearings. I'm sure if you let it SIT in water, some might seep in. Just like with any bearing for RC cars.....

what size tires will ineed to order if i want street only?i dont want to run in my yard to much and i have a no traffic street with a good size gravel area.

As stated: stock. Handling is improved all around by changing to a haeavier shock oil and slightly wider tires and wheels, but mostly for off-road use or loose gravel or sand.

Stock out of the box, it's a hoot just like it is....
