Well i am at that point where i am replacing parts on my Slash 4x4 #6808 and might need some advice. The other day i stripped my 42 tooth spur and replaced it today and notice i had to tighten all the screws to the drive shaft and moter adjustment screw.Took me a few tries to get it right but i did.The car ran great and i was bashing the hell out of it on a34 ft ramp landing on cment.I broke a few things.

#1 I bent the front shoks again and prob can bend them back, also the spring retainers got pushed all the way to the top of the spring.

#2 The body keept comming off cause the the washers go right through the body mount holes cause of cracks.I decided to run the car without the body, knowing the poss damage to come.

#3 I bent the hell out of the rear shocks real badf and continued to run it.Resulting in a broken carrier stub part 1952.
I know i caused this damage by being somewhat foolish, but i like working on this beast

My Question is what shocks would be best as a replacement knowing how hard i like to land?Price is no issue.

What Carrier should i get alum ,titanium, or plastic?(not sure I'm naming the part right)Part that the wheel and upper control arm connect to.

Is there a more durable thicker body out there?I am going to try the shoogoo and drywall tape idea.

Thank you all in advance for your responces and happy bashing.

Hot Bodies D8 Shocks are pretty much a direct bolt on with a few washers and such. I ran some and loved em....but if you're hitting huge hits and landing on cement...I doubt much of anything will handle that short of maybe some LST2 beer can shocks...which will never fit a Slash. lol

The Dominus SC body appears to be a little stronger and is a direct fit for the slash 4x4. I ran one for a while and it appeared a little stronger than the Traxxas stock body but the BAJR body by JConcepts is the strongest I've seen but it is similiar to a vw bug body but not as rounded.
