Slash 2wd idea pool

Hello everyone! I'm new to this website, but I definitely see this coming in handy in the future. Anyways, I'm going to get straight to the point. I am going to buy a Traxxas Slash 4x4. I've had a 2wd for about 3 years now and it is great. But I want to get a 4x4 because it handles better. Once I get this 4x4, I kinda want to convert my Slash to Drag. Any suggestions?

If you are going with the Slash 4x4, I highly recommend you go with the Slash 4x4 Ultimate. It has the best value compared to other Slash 4x4 trims since it comes with many upgrades (LCG chassis, aluminum bearing adapter, aluminum caster blocks, aluminum steering blocks, aluminum rear hub carriers, GTR shocks, sway bars, softer compound tires, telemetry sensors, Bluetooth module, etc.) In total, you will save roughly $150+ in terms of parts if you go with the Ultimate.

As for you Slash 2wd, turning it into a Drag Slash is an awesome idea! You can probably get inspiration from Traxxas, since they recently revealed their Drag Slash (legitimate model for sale, not just a project), with the Magnum 272R transmission (sealed differential, aluminum motor plate, upgraded slipper clutch, and redesigned input shaft. Of course, it's not released yet, but it will in the coming weeks, so I think it's worth the wait:

Thanks! I was actually planning on buying an Ultimate, I just forgot to include that part in the post. And the Drag slash is pretty cool. I definitely do want a Magnum 272R gearbox. Just not to sure on the gearing I should run. I'm tempted to lock the slipper clutch and lock the diff, but I am only running 3s so. Also, I'm not to sure what kinda body I should get. All the drag bodies look dope.

If your going to go to no prep drag slash Id look at the chuckworks chassis .. also go with a different trans...I've always had good luck with the rpm gearbox...some drag slicks...if your handy you can buy some carbon fiber sheets and make your own..you can do a-ton just use your imagination
