Slash 2wd ford raptor project for nephew

Was going to rebuild his current slash but it was so gross and bearings shot from running in water and rusty. Going to let him rebuild that one with spare parts.

Just waiting on the aluminum arms to arrive tomorrow and a 12t 32p 5mm bore pinion. Didn’t realize his supplied castle mamba sct pro 3800kv motor was 5mm shaft from his garbage ecx ruckus... converted to 32p with jato spur.

Awesome project. chassis cleans up well and looks fine. Are those Senton wheels and tires? or similar?
The body is beautiful. Excellent. Servo underneath? I'm still new.
edit: Man, you got it so clean. Very nice. I love it.

It is new for sure; I didn’t even want to work on the other one it was so bad I am going to let him rebuild the old one with a box of spare parts. He is 11 so this is his time to really start building like I did (y)

The wheels/tires are the same as the ones on my senton build. Used atomik hex/hub adapters to convert to 17mm.

JX pdi-6221mg servo; the jx servos are best bang for buck.

The Traxxas ford raptor body is very nice. The extra black plastic pieces and the lower front bumper really make it

Of course I had to put a little carbon fiber in there with a quick fabbed esc plate :geek:
