The LiPos are a bit lighter, so you won't have to have as heavy a brace on your shelf.

I just finished installing the shift servo and braking servo. The linkages should come together tomorrow. I still have all the LED lighting to install and wire, but that's not an excuse why it can't go play in the dirt.
If it doesn't rain this weekend, there just might be some pics or a vid of it outside in actual sunlight. :D

Here are the side windows after the tint treatment. Windshield glass got the same.

I changed the snorkel stack from black to tan. It looked good in black, but it also looked like a wood burning stove pipe. :D

I also repainted the rear cap in tan rather than the brown. It just made the whole thing look bigger and smoother.

Real stainless steel braided cable wrapped on the winch, tow chain draped on bumper.
B-b-b-b-bad to the bone.

I've been working on the linkage setups to the shift and brake servos, and I'll be removing the tail lights to add an extra bright red LED in each one, so it will have the standard tail lights AND a servo switched brake light. Since I'm this deep into the project, there's no sense in taking shortcuts.

I also need a bit of advise on the electronics...
I'm using the M11 radio, 2.4, with the fail safe in the receiver. Is it still necessary to install another in line fail safe or will one interfere with the other?
It will be running NiMH, so there won't be a low voltage cut off.

Looking BAD A$$ Ralph!!!!! and I see no reason for a fail safe, None of my Electric RC's have them and none have taken off on me, it's not like a Nitro where if your Rx pack dies and your throttle servo sticks open:whhooo:. I can see why you ask though since you don't actually drive your RC's:D. Since they for display purposes only:hehe::p:, LOL!!! JK!! keep up the awesome work, we all enjoy watching your builds come together even if it does take year:\, LOL!!:hehe::D

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother posting.:hehe:

One step further. I just finished the testing of the servos, and I now have flawless shifting on ch3 trim tab (one click in either direction) and braking through the 4th channel mix as robmob suggested. I also had it off the ground for some run in testing. It's almost ready to go get dirty. :whhooo:

Yeah, right, Rolex. You getting a rig dirty. It's a good thing that you're not Pinocchio. Your nose would be growing.

Finally finished with the chassis. The cross frame that will 'saddle' the batteries is now finished and painted.

All my lights are in and partially wired. 1/6 scale accessories are starting to arrive.

Ooh, ooh. :celebrate:

The interior details are in, so I'll try to get some pics up later today. Most of the lights are in and ready to hook up. I still have to make the outside mirrors for it, but most of the accessories for the roof rack are ready. I've maximized the detail, even though it WILL play in the dirt. Go ahead, start the abuse.
It will have a little sister, H2, arriving in a few days.

The detail is just awesome! Now go and get some dirt and dust from the trail on it!

Latest Update...

Thanks VERY much to NCNitro for these beautiful scale military bungee cords!
