simple tranny question...

good morniing ppl.
just a simple question concerning the forward/reverse gears in a tmaxx tranny
if you tear them apart and someone happens to move your parts or something how can you figiure out the forward gear from the reverse gears
they are both identical but they have differnent traxxas part numbers when ordering them,
just curious cause i got like 5 different gears here and havent a clue what goes where either f/r lol
i bought new and going to mark them F and R then i will know if ever have to tear things apart
just curious how to tell the difference

Well... in the parts explosion, there's a silver pawl and black pawl and apparently a blue ring on the silver pawl gear.

How far apart did you take them? If the pawls are still intact, then you should be able to determine which is which from that:

Yeah, the different colors should give you the solution. I sold my reverse a while ago, so i dont really know.... Good Luck.
