Where do they go? I have had my savage apart quite a few times and all I can think they are are the hinge pins for the arms.

If that's the case, the skid plates and bumper mount supports have tabs to keep them in the truck.

86074 is your upper hinge pins for your upper control arms.

To keep those in you need to throw a zip tie around your bumper supports to keep the supports squeezed together. This will keep the hinge pin stops on the bumper supports from spreading and allowed the hinge pin to back.

Lucky me, i do not have to deal with this, my bumper supports are bolted on and do not move away from my hinge pins.

yea i had posted on an other savage forum and they had suggested to use zip ties. Truck is out of commision for right now due to a snapped radio antenna. New one should be here today then ill check back in to let u know how the zip ties work. Pics would be awesome to shwo what u have done to ur truck to keep those darn things in.

Well my pictures would be pointless as i do not have that style of bumper brace/ hinge pin stop on my truck.

i just took this for you here you go

hey thanks for the pic. the zip tie is working for now. mudwild can u explain what u did in that pic. I can't really tell whats going on it looks like some sort of bumper stop for the shaft.

i didnt do anything in the picture.

That is a set of factory HPI bumper braces.

No, sorry. Dont have the older style savage either.
They are just the older, quite a bit better bumper braces.

That is a savage XL pictured.
And that is very obvious in the picture.

Nahh I'll stick with the zip ties. It's easier to cut the zip ties and pull the clips should I ever need to remove the bumpers to do a repair or just to clean the truck. I learned my lesson with T-MAXXs about long winded bumper mount screws!
