hey
this might be a silly question, but how far can my rc car go away from me before it loses signal?
what info do you need to work it out? or does it say somewhere?
thanks:)

You can do a range test on your particular radio. Just have a buddy walk with your radio while you hold your car and see how far they can get. If you have a 2.4ghz radio I wouldn't even worry about range....

It really depends on your radio and setup in the truck along with your surrounding environment. Where I live, regardless what FM/AM radio I've used (JR, traxxas, Airtronics), about 100 yards max for range, then I get severe glitching.

Now, if I go to my parents house (in the middle of nothing in the farmland of Iowa), I can go 200+ yards without an issue with the same radios.

With my Spektrum radio, I can go 200+ yards without issue where I live. Which is basically as far as I can see well enough to control my rigs at all.
