Hello, I'm new into all this crawling thing, but I felt in love the minute I saw a few fellas driving at a park track here in Miami!

So after a lot of youtube videos and research, My options were RTR Axial SCX10 II, Redcat gen 8 and Element Enduro Sendero, then I said to my self, let's escalate to the next level I decided to get a Kit that lead me to get the Element Enduro Builder Kit.

Parts list:
  • Element Enduro Builder Kit
  • Hobbywing 1080 ESC
  • Holmes Hobbies CrawlMaster Sport 550 (15T)
  • Pro-Line Hyrax 1.9" (Predator)
  • Pro-Line 1.9" XL Dual Stage Foams
  • Pro-Line 2020 Jeep Gladiator
  • INJORA 1.9 Beadlock Wheels
  • 25kg DSservo

And here all started a few weeks ago.

As everyone said, the angle of the driveshaft is insane.

Everything is conected and RTR, let's move on to the body.

IMG_20200213_234308.jpg

The Body, IDK what to say, I love Jeep, I love the gladiator but I dont love the Proline gladiator just because it is waaaaay out of scale, is narrow, and tiny :/.

Body trimmed all around and top film cut to match the black parts, planning to paint all black over and under the body and then a flat clear coat.

Final Result, you can notice a few issues with the masking and paint bleed but to be my first time painting a body and trying to get the more details as possible I think it came out pretty good. Next one will be better xD

  • SSD Brass Knuckles
  • SSD Brass Rear Axle Weights
  • Samix Brass Hex (8mm)
  • Yeah Racing Front Stinger Bumper

I decided to get with a narrower bumper since tires were rubbing the previous one, but I still dont like this one

IMG_20200220_165556.jpg

Lets put the stickers, I won't go any crazy, I want a clean look

The body is too narrow and it hit the servo box so I decided to move it to the back and use one of the soft original braces as a
mount.

That flex ;), tires are rubbing the body a little bit.

I lifted the body but I think it was too much

I still need to find a rear bumper that fits the body, and a roof led lightbar.

As per next upgrades, I already ordered:
  • Club 5 High clearance links with steel hollow ball
  • Club 5 Shock Bushing / Pivot Balls
  • SSD Aluminum C Hubs
I hope you guys like it, I will love to hear any feedback and or suggestion to improve the performance and look of it.

that looks quite amazing! body is definitely well detailed but not too much to make it looks too "busy", and the next body painted is always better, learn new tricks, techniques, etc, to make lines come out straighter, and transitions to come out smoother.that is one great looking kit!
definitely curious how you like it, and about that driveshaft angle that you referred to above, if it proves to be a problem or not when wheels start binding.

It is my first crawler so I have no reference to compare with, but so far I've enjoyed this journey so much, I can definitely go now and buy a new kit to start over.

Regarding the paint, yes, it was hard to cut the masking tape and get straight lines at the beginning, but it got better near the end xD.

The driveshaft angle it's definitely an issue, I'm evaluating a mod I saw that consists of sanding down the transmission mount to get it 2-3 mm lower and improve the angle of the shafts.

I'm looking for a rear bumper, does anyone know one that fits this size 15-16 cms or 6in.

A few new mods I did to the truck.

I really didn't want to open holes to the body, so I decided to get neodymium magnets to hold it.

I got them from here these are a direct fit onto the body post and I glue them in with shoe goo.
