Folks, does anyone know if Hyper7 / MBX5 / Lightning2 / XRAY shock springs are the same sizes?

IE Do H7 springs fit on standard MBX5 shocks. I know that Lightning2 ones do but what about others.

thanks.

The best way to find out is to measure them... if you tell sizes, people will be able to help much easier.

Did you think of that all by yourself?

1) If I had them to hand I would be able to compare them wouldn't I?
2) If I had measurements I wouldn't need to ask at all would I?

I mean measurements of the shocks that are on the buggy. Then these numbers can be compared to other shocks..

I was just trying to help...so keep on being a ****. Its not hard to measure them. even if you don't have a ruler, you can find them on the internet and print it off.

No it appeared you were trying to be a smart @ss but thanks for pointing out the blindingly obvious anyway. Time was of the essence hence my plea for quick answers rather than a lesson in geometry.

Please close this thread once David has had his say if he so wishes, I don't think any good will become of it.

Now now kids. Am I going to have to separate the two of you?

Ryan, what buggy are you looking to put new springs on? As much as dpk was kinda right, if we know what you're replacing, we can see if we can drum up some specs on the other springs to see if they'll fit.

Aw shucks, I love a good rumble occasionally!

No I was being kind of general for a reason, I was hoping that someone would say something like "Yup all the same size except for XXX buggy" as I had a range available to me and had no real preference. Just time constraints.

Unfortunately I don't have enough experience with buggy springs to tell if they're interchangeable. One thing I'd do if I were you is to pop in on Tower Hobbies. Usually in their tech info on each product they give dimensions. That should tell you if the various springs are similar in size.

I know the springs from a GS Storm will fit the MBX5. I kept all my "add on" springs from my storm because of that reason.
