On the rear of my newly aquired T-Maxx, when I push down, the shocks compress but do not rebound. I assume this is not a good thing? What would be the best option here? I heard they can be rebuilt? Or should I just replace? I also read the an upgrade would be to replace the two Maxx shocks with a single buggy shock. Is this a direct replacement or will I have to modify or replace the tower? Thanks again for any help. You guys have been great so far.

i would rebuild them place a light oil say 30wt. are they leaking, also you should get stiffer springs the red ones are to soft. Team Trinity Blue springs are good.you only need 4 one in each corner.

you can use some buggy shocks with out mods, I would get UE Shocks. you only need 4 and they are like $60 for 4 but they are very strong and very nice shocks.

Thanks for the info. I should have searched before posting this question. I have LOTS of reading to do. lol

Oh yeah, don't know if they are leaking or not. Just got it yesterday and they were already like that.

take off the caps (On the top of the removed shock) and see how your sitting for oil. Since ya have it removed, Id empty out all the old oil and put in new stuff. If its still saggin ya might wanna look into different springs. If its leaking ya might have to do a rebuild or buy a new set.
