Shock oil weight

I'd like my Outcast 4S to have more damping without buying stiffer springs. I have no knowledge about shock oil weight. I'm going to be using it for mostly skate park bashing and occasionally dirt track bashing, and maybe some indoor fun at my local hobby store. The factory shocks are filled with 500cSt. Any suggestions/knowledge for me? Appreciate it!

I always thought the arrma shocks felt pretty good rtr, at least as far as bashing goes. Have you seen any oil on the shocks? They also tend to ship poorly bled from the factory. Any leakage or air will cause the oil to foam and reduce stability. They may just need a top off and fresh bleed. If thats not the case maybe try some 50 or 55 wt.

Fill 'em up with some 600cSt and go test. Just note, temps will affect shock oil viscosity to a certain extent. For strictly "bashing" purposes, I'd find some comfortable happy medium and just go with it.

Yeah. Some people run UDRs or Slashes. I'm running a 3s right now, and even that is crazy. They also just moved and haven't set up the full track again yet, so it's a bit smaller for now.

Whenever I'm testing shock oil changes for bigger bashers, I go up 20wt at a time. 10wt changes aren't noticeable on a heavy truck. I would go with 60wt. I'm not sure of the cst rating...somewhere around 800 if I had to guess based on what I've seen of conversion tables online.
