does anyone know if we cross over parts from mugen mbx5 to a hyper7 or vice versa?

parts like engine mounts, shock towers, CVD's, arms...stuff like that.

not likely between those 2 brands and the parts listed....
I know you can use OFNA diff gears in most buggies except Mugen, Kyosho & X-ray.....shocks are pretty interchangeable......wheels hex hubs and sometimes engine mounts.....maybe the steering linkage.....and fuel tank......a lot of buggies can use the A-arms and steering knuckles but you have to replace the whole thing from the bulkhead out...including CVDs.....outside of those items I wouldn't expect anything to cross over from brand to brand

cvds would prob interchange. but like plaid said not much more unless you do some major revamping.

I know that some diffs will fit so long as they mate. I have read that Hot Bodies diffs can fit with additional parts like the conical gears onto a Kyosho ride. Mugen and Ofna... not sure but more than likely no. Engine mounts are a definite no.. trust me on that one.

cool guys, thanks. i have a ton of spare parts for a hyper and thought maybe if they interchanged i'd keep the mugen.

thanks again

its lookin that way...
sell off the hyper and parts, but a nice starter box and i'm good to go...

I have ofna springs, wing, clutch, cb, brake linkage, and wheel hexes on my kyosho. None of the LHS's around me stock Kyosho parts so I had to make due. Other than that its all K1 spec.
