Hello all,

I am considering buying two new engines for my Firestorm and RS4 and i was wondering if it was difficult to change from a SG clutch assembly to a standard clutch assembly? Will this involve any major modifications? As in buying new parts etc.

Thanks

you can go from threaded shaft to pilot shaft by cutting the crank. but going the other way around.. not sure. you may have to get a clutch that will work with the pilot shaft.

Hmmm, what tool would you use to cut the shaft?

Use a dremel with a cutoff wheel.....wear safety glasses. Make sure you either take the crank out or put the engine in a ziplock bag then poke the crank through it.....wear safety glasses. Before you cut put the nut on. Put on your safety glasses and cut at a medium speed trying not to get it too hot. All while wearing safety glasses. When you take the nut back off it will clean the threads. Don't forget your glasses.:D
