I'm in some need of advise. I do not remember when the problem began but now when I turn on my transmitter my servos continuously jump. It does it with and without the engine running

I thought it could be a bad receiver so I bought a new digital transmitter and receiver and the problems still exist.

1. What are some rules of thumbs when diagnosing this problem? Keep what wires away from where? Can you shorten the servo wires they are really long which I'm afraid causes kinking.

2. What is an acceptable method of hiding your antenna? Right now I have it in fuel line with the end of the antenna exposed attached running horizontally on the suspension.

Is it both servos or is it just one? If so which one?

You should check the servo wires for nicks or cuts. This could cause them to short and cause the jumping. Check to make sure that the wires are away from all moving parts and away from the RX antenna.

You can shorten the servo leads. You need to get the correct new ends from a supplier such as Tower Hobbies or Horizon Hobby. Do one at a time and make sure you get them wired correctly.

great thanks for the info!

Lately it has been the throttle servo but it was the steering one before that

You may want to put your antenna back in the stock location, just to see if it makes any difference. I used to do the same thing back in the day. It was a good way to catch stray interference.
