I have a hyper 7 pcr rtr and was wondering if i could put a digital servo with the stock radio? I'm thinking no but i'm not really sure. Do digital servos use more batt power? What do you guys recomend. Don't really wanna spend more than 50 bucks.

Yes you can use a digital servo.
Yes they use more power than a standard servo.
Your price puts you right at the point of not being able to get one thats going to do the job well.

I'm assuming you want to get a new servo for your steering. If so you need to look at a servo with metal gears and IMO 85 oz of torque or more.

JR Racing has the Z650M for 49.00 142 oz of torque @ .17.
I don't believe its a digital servo but I may be wrong.

The HiTec 6635 and the Futaba S3050 will work but wouldn't be the best choice for your application. They both have well under 100 oz of torque.

The other 2 mentioned in this thread would give you better bang for the buck.

I used the Hitec HS-645MG till I had the money to get better ones. Its a good servo and the price is right! I think I got it on E-bay for like 30.00
