Servo winch controls

I’m thinking of adding a servo winch as the small scale bumper winch I have from Amazon is pretty weak. I don’t have an extra button on my controller. “Stock trx4 remote” is there a way to control a servo winch still?

A lot of the winches come with a standalone controller for them. A lot of people just velcro it to the base of their radios. Otherwise, you would need an extra channel on a radio to control it.

Would those type of controllers work with a servo style winch?

I don't think so, unless the winch comes with its own controller

Depends on a lot of things. At the very least you would need an open channel and something like a Receiver to Winch controller. Unless it's 3 wire setup.

You can make your own winch too.

You could get rid of the stock TRX controller and receiver and use one with more channels.
