I just installed the HS645MG Hitec servo, then realized that the HPI control arm doesn't fit.
None of the parts included will replace the HPI version, so what do I do?

Gah lee Ralph, all the help you stay up late at night and give people, but then when you have a question everybody is all of a sudden too busy to help.

Yeah, I've had it. I'm sending in my 2 year notice.

Well, thanks to the PM about your kit having those parts included for whatever servos you decide to use, I was able to resolve the problem.
Late last night, about to fall asleep, one of my missing brain cells stopped by. I got up, dug through all the stock parts that came off the truck, and with the truck, and lo and behold, there was a plastic tree with 2 other throttle/brake arms, and 2 more steering arms. Each one had a different part #, and now I'm ready to go.

EVERYTHING is back together, and thanks to a package from robmob there's more bling. I'm way too tired now, but I'll have the finished photos tomorrow.

Glad to hear you fixed it!
I had an aweful time trying to get mine to work.

With the combinations of my not knowing anything about the savage, and my normal stupidity towards rc, I was able to finally able to get it in one piece and working fine.

I never was able to get my 645 to work though, I don't think I had the horn for it.

That's the problem I had, Scooby. The control arms that came with the servo were useless. I got the RTR version of the Savage X, and found that even though HPI servos were pre-installed, they included additional horns for the other servo manufacturers.

Really? I just dremeled the red X one that hitec includes... wasn't too big of an issue that I recall... Or I used one of the single arm black ones that came with the servo... after dremmeling a bit. I can't believe I don't have a photo of it... I have photo's of every other thing on my old savage.

Look through your extra HPI parts, Olds. There are also wheel adapters and spare pins with it. Also some spare parts for the electronics box.
