Do servo's beak w/out warning. I have a almost new Hitec 615 anddIt just stoped working. I thought maybe it was the plug. Changed it...I did have somewhat of a meltdown. I was pulling battery out of recv. and the rubber wire protectors ripped off and the exposed wires touched-little bit of spark & smoke. Would that be a cause ?? Some help please.

u could of fryed ur battery pack, do u have a AA battery pack u can use in place of the battery pack to test with? i have had the 2 wires touch with a battery pack before and only got a small spark and it still worked.

The throttle servo works so its not Battery, I pluged in a different servo and it worked. I am at a loss. I think I will just replace it.

how long have u had it? maybe u could try to send it back. i have 2 hi-tec servos and havent had any problems with them, even through water.

You should be able to send them back if they are relativly new.

It sounds like you may have shorted out the servo. The spark was most likely caused by the short of the wiring touching metal at the same time.
