Hi all,

I changed my steering servo today from the standard (crappy) smartech one, to a futaba model. When i started up the truck,(smartech magic wheel) both the steering servo and the acelorator servo started to twitch.. then the car shot off and and wouldn't stop. It kept going around and round in circles at full speed.

My questions are,

1, Do servo's have their own frequencies?
2, Does it matter if i use a digital and analogue together(1 steering,1 speed)
3, Why would changing a servo affect the car so much?

I'm getting well tired of this smartech, but i don't think i can send it back for a refund, cos i've 'modified' it to make it work, after it failed on me.

TIA, tony.

It could just be the receiver doesn't like the new servos. Smartech is known for it's not so goodness. It would stand to reason that they would use cheap electronics.

If you running a digital servo and your using AA alkalines, it could just be drawing to much current for the alkalines to keep up. Digital servos require a lot more current to operate. You didn't state for sure that you had a digital servo or what kind of receiver battery your using.
