Can any one advise the servo torque required for the steering and the throttle/brake on a 1/10th scale road touring car? My GV servos that came with the car went kaput after about 2 hours(within 15 minutes of one another). Any one have any ideas why that might have happened??. Currently running Futaba S3003 servos to get me out of trouble(rated at 3.2kg-cm or 44.44ou/Inch)

Futaba S3003 should work fine for throttle/brake. Look at futaba S3010 or a hitech 625 for steering.

Sure?

Do yuou think we need double the strength servos on the steer? Seems a bit of an overkill:)

yes, its harder to turn the wheels than to works the carb/brake linkage. The servo speed rating also plays an issue.
