Does anyone have a trick for sealing an old tank? The outlet hole is oblong and the bushing wouldn't fit right. It had a busing with an aluminium line that stuck out the top and the fuel line would attach to that. If I pull all of that out of the tank and then just install fuel line there is a slight gap and its not tight. Any suggestions?

I might have to try that. I'm working on a vintage kyosho mkii and I'm having a hell of a time finding parts. Its all done just need to get the tank fixed and fire it up.

I found some stuff at my local hardware store that is gas and paint thinner proof. So I'll keep fingers crossed.

Autozone has permatex plastic gas tank and radiator repair epoxy that sould work for you.:D

That's what I used and it totally fell apart. I called my lhs and he said he had some odd ball tanks in a box in the back and I could dig through them.

Dont know if this would be any help but i sometimes use hot candle wax and superglue to temporarily seal over cracks in fueltanks. The supergpue seals over the wax dries it hard.
