I will find out tomorrow when I get the new set in the mail. When I sent the email I included pictures and asked if it was supposed to be that way. They said no and sent me a new set. We shall see!The print could be wrong and holes correct. Two mounting positions allows you to clock the c hubs for optimal performance. It's often referred to a King Pin Inclination. I'm assuming this is the front axle.
To have adjustable king pin inclination, you can either mod the axle housing or the C hub. Vanquish mods the c hub as you can see here:

If your replacement parts have this same two-hole thing, then it's for that. It would be odd to replicate the error on both sides. If not, then something did get goofed up. Rarely are RC company prints 100% accurate.
While it could be a machining error, the threads look to be true to the hole, so it doesn't strike me as an error. Could be though. Programming these machines is rather easy now. Solidcam makes short work of it. We have 5 3-axis cnc lathes with bar feeders. My engineers will fuss about all the blood, sweat, and tears on the programming, but we've dropped in new machining programs and had proof parts 10 minutes later. I think they just like giving me a hard time.
