First off, there is a lot of stuff from my high-lift build. You dont like it, tough crap....... Enjoy.
So FLM_savage decided to make the "orphan SCX build" with my f-350 beater body so i decided to make a thread on the show body version of his rig. I decided against the high lift rig, due to the not so scaleness of it...
The inspiration:
I started with the stock Axial SCX-10 kit.
I decided to scrap the stock body and go with the much much much much more scale F-350 high-lift body.
I had the body painted, and detailed with factory ford 1:1 paint.
Nice and Shiny.
Instead of the factory Axial beadlock wheels, I wanted to go with a more scale appearance of the 1:1 and found that the Tamiya Tundra High-Lift wheels were almost a PERFECT match.
For the motor/ESC/Servo, i decided to go with the Traxxas Titan 12t motor, with the Waterproof XL-5 ESC, and traxxas waterproof servo. I also am running a Venom 4000mah 2s lipo.
Got it all together. All i need to do now is mount the body, and am just waiting for the new mounts to be manufactured for me.
Tonight..
Got the lights installed in headlights and tail lights.
The headlights come out EXTREMELY blue in the pix, but are way more white.
I need to make some light blockers for the inside, so it doesn't have that "underglow" look under the tailgate.
More to come. Bout to start on the detailing.
Plans: Billet Grill, Bull bar, Tool box in the bed, (to house the voltage regulator and battery for the lights), straps, hooks........ other scale accessories. Possibly custom bumper that only one other person on here knows about.
