SCT choices

i am looking at getting at SCT truck but i wanted to find out which one would be better to compete with and be more fun a 2wd or 4wd i know that there are classes but just looking for some feed back see what you guys think

It's really going to depend on you and where you're located. Being as it sounds like you want to race it, I'd recommend going to your local track and figure out which class fits you better, and what brands you LHS supports the most. If you're looking at Traxxas' Slash and are not sure if you're going to stick with racing, I'd get the 4x4 because they're are a ton of different paths you can go down with that platform if you decide to keep it as a basher.

yup...2wd vs 4wd comes down to personal preference and what is supported by your local track. if they do both then it just up to you. Personally I prefer 4WD, I find them easier to control but I've heard some folks say they think 2WD is easier.

If you're looking for suggestions on kits then for 4WD I would recommend either the Durango DESC410R or the Losi SCTE. Those are two really popular ones around here but around here almost everyone races 4WD SCTs.

I have a 2wd slash that I bash around with. It is durable platform. Can be a handful at times but I'm running a fuze 6800, kinda like duh. Couple of friends have the 4wd and have broken a few parts. I have rpm arms that are a life saver.

Really gotta say if you plan on racing, figure out how you plan to drive it. All the guys I race(d) with who went up to 4wd say that they can't go back to 2wd, just because it's such a drastic change in driving style.

I would get the new SC10 by AE, that think is a winner in the class.
