savage xs erratic

i am having problems with my savage xs driving very erratic after about 5-10 mins of driving. it will stop 1 sec then go for a sec then stop again. it does this with both of my batterys.(gens 2s 4000mah 30c) what is going on?

I had the same issue and it can be one of two things.
1st it could be heat build up. It does have an overtemp protection on it.
2nd it could be the voltage cut off. If you swap to a new battery does it still do it? If so it is likely a heat issue. I know my XS is really twitchy.

Mine was/is a PITA. I have batteries that work fine in my full size Flux that will not with the XS

thanks for the info. i think I'm going to buy some differnt batterys and see if it still does it. if it does i will have to send it back to hpi.
