To build a 1/5 4WD will take a lot of R&D since the current platform will not support a 4WD conversion.

However, it will support a conversion to a stadium truck. Maybe rework the shock towers and arms a bit. Get rid of the cage and come up with a body and tire/wheel combo. They would need to make it look scale similar to the 5B meaning the tires/wheels don’t stick out beyond the body a whole lot like a MT.

In short, they can invest a little bit of money to milk the current chassis some more before coming out with a whole new platform.

They would essentially be able to sell a 5T to guys who already have a 5B. Then sell a 5MT to the same crowd later.

It is what I would do if it were my business.

Either way, I am down with what ever they come up with when it comes out in kit form.

Yeah, a stadium truck would be very cool. I still might wait for the 4WD version though.

My friend has a 5B and it is very cool and all, but it would be better in 4WD and if it had a 2nd gear. His 5B SS is slower than my 8T.

Do you honestly expect it to be faster than your 8T?

Also, a 2 speed is in the works for the 5B by some very talented guys.

Yes, acually. With that big motor on it, all it takes is gears.

That is the same motor that is on go-peds! And they drive a 150 lb. person at 40 mph, they should get that buggy going at least 50-55 mph and the second gear would definately do it.

Ok, got the results. LST2 is faster than the truggy, both is stock RTR setup. The second gear in the LST2 tops out faster than the truggy, however around the track the truggy obviously has better suspension and lower and lighter than the LST2 and beats it.

A friend of mine just bought a brand new Revo, he has had it for about a month, and just got whoopped on bad. He did not stand a chance. Top speed on the Revo is even slower than the top speed on the stock Truggy 8T. Not to mention going around a track. The Revo cannot even handle it stock. It lifts tires around turns and cannot handle the fast speed around a track very well. The LST2 whooped it bad, I mean real bad.

Yes, 3 speeds.

I am also interested to see how well this one performs. I would like to put it up against my friends stock RTR LST2 to compare.

The Savage XL looks pretty wicked.

Well time to start scratching my head again trying to figuar out how to swing geting one of these. When the savage came out with a 3 speed I wanted one so bad but just couldnt at the time, now well lets just say its the time lol.

Oh and guy who thinks his lst2 and 8t are soooo bad ass! Look, your puting a stock frigin revo on a track Vs. a lst2 that has was semi desinged to be a race machine. The revo was never planed to be a racer in stock form, hence the reason traxxas has so many options for it. But when a revo is built corectly, it will walk circles around a lst2 at the track. I have seen it done, (By myself and friend racing agains 3 lst2's in the monster truck class). The revo is lighter and more nimble the a lst, reguardless of engine size. Rember this too, its all driver!

Yeah I know it would probably beat the LST2 when hopped up, my agrument was stock vs stock. Period. It is very weak in stock form. Anyone can spend tons of money on any rig and make it loads better. But the Lst2 right out of the box is the best bang for the buck, especially for a basher.

Oh and just for your info, I do not own a LST2, it is my friends. I am just commenting on what I have seen live in person. And it does not take much of a driver to drive a straight line and give it full throttle. My 3 1/2 year old daughter can do that. We weren't hard core racing, just bashing around.

whats the difference between an LST and an LST2?
I was looking at one not sure witch and it had a low and high range kinda thing.I thought that was pretty cool.
At our local track from what I have seen everone that races MT runs a Revo.I have seen one Losi.

The Lst2 is much better with stronger upgrades.

The low range and reverse you will probably never use, but they do come stock on the LST2. I would advise just removing them.

How does the LSt2 do on the track? Does it just get beat on, or does it do pretty well?

I am almost positive, if you put a lst2 vs a revo bone stock and had a monkey see monkey do contest, they would be about even in parts broke.

was told today by my local hobby shop that the lst 2 and the baja beetle is the exact same truck except for the lst 2 has reverse and the beetle doesn't??????

dunno what i was told sounds fishy since they dont even have the same motors, i think he just tryin sell me what he had in stock

I think your right... The baja is the same as an aftershock I believe. Which has cast diff cases, LST1 arms/axle carriers, LST1 outer axles, composite body shocks, black shock springs (1lb stronger than LST2), cheap 2-speed assembly (not on LST1 or 2), no reverse, no high/low manual shift, smaller fuel tank, no rear cover for the spur gears, 14mm hex's, engine, pipe, manifold... not sure what else, but that's pretty much the whole list comparing the AS to the LST2.

The diff between the LST1 and 2 are (I believe), outer cvd's, axle hubs, arms, axle carriers, fuel tank, engine (possibly pipe), LST2 has threaded shocks vs LST1's clip adjustable.
