Savage xl will not stay in gear !

Okay so far I've got about three quarts through my xl it did not start having issues till after break in was done and started getting second and third gear what its doing is as soon as I get it started and go to take off it goes into netural after just a few secounds of running and wont go back into gear or sometimes after setting it will pop back into gear but only for a few mins is there something wrong with my slipper clutch or tranny I'm new to savages not really sure what to do. thanks for any help!

Drivetrain: Check clutch, slipper and spur gear. Also watch the trucks moving parts as it is moving and goes into neutral, you should be able to track the cause.

well I called HPI today and after explaining my problem there sending me a new one way bearing for the trans is this a common problem ?

The problem is rare. I had the same problem when i bought an three speed for my truck so i called hpi and thay took care of me sending me an new bearing right away. Once you change the bearing out get back running you will have alot of fun. The xl is an beast.

I've read of the issue more than once. I think this will be my fifth.

The new OWB should get you going again.
