Hey Guys,

Recived the New Savage X just now, and what comes with the truck as far as the hump pack and charger is 1- 1800 nicd 7.2 high voltage power pack this pack is from Venom racing. www.venom-racing.com $ 17.99
The charger is a Hot Bodies Micro Charge Part #31500 4-7pk cell peak charger ac/dc. at $59.99 Does anyone know how good these are, or have any experiance with them. I put a thread up just before reciving these this morning on Hump packs and chargers and neither one of these were metioned so just want to make sure there quality pack and charger. I'm sure they are an average starter pack, but they are right up there with the cost of different brands also. Just wondering if I should get better quality or use these for now. Let me know please before I start using.

if its a 7.2v pack then that is a stick pack used for a rotostart or electric car, it wont fit in the savage radio box and would prolly kill the reciever if you pluged it into it. as far as i know the "reciever" packs are all 6.0v packs.

I've havent heard of anyone just plain hating venom, although there not "super" packs for the average user they should be fine.

the stick pack is for the rotostarter, you need a 5 cell (3/2)hump pack for the reciever. like this

and on the fail safe, it goes between the reciever and the throttle servo. plug the failsafe into the rx at the throttle channel and plug the throttle servo plug into the failsafe.

edit: the hump pack replaces the 4AA battery holder inside the radio box of the savage.

Beason, So I know the white part will plug into the charger, so will the red tag plug in to the reciver.

the red one should plug into your switch, then the switch plugs into the BATT plug on the rx..

Got it! I think I need to slow down and start off by reading the manual.

yea, lol sometimes that helps a little.

i added you to my ym but your not online

Sorry there Skymax..When I first wrote it, I didn't relize where it was going to post. Then I thought I could delete it and put here where it should of been in the first place. I know only admin can change it, so that's why you saw the two post. I'll pay attention next time. Thanks

No worries. The thread is still active. It is just moved to the Savage section. I'll leave this one where it is for the time being.
