Savage X electronics problem

I've had my Savage X for about 1 1/2 weeks now and it ran great until today. I was running it around my track in my back yard and then lost my throttle. So I walked over picked it up and it started working again. About 30 seconds later, same thing. This time both the throttle and steering went out. Could this be that it has a bad crystal or receiver? I know that the servos are good because I put a new radio, raciever and crystal in it. I don't have another crystal that fits into the stock savage receiver so I cannot test this problem. Did this ever happen to anyone and if it did what did you do to repair this.

Sorry I didn't mention that. It does have new batteries. In both the receiver and radio.

It hasn't rained here since I got my truck so that hasnt happened.

The batteries may have died out. Mine tends to do that when the batteries are very low. The failsafe would kick in and there would be no response from the steering servo.

Yeah, I'm still leaning towards batteries, right now.
Pick up a fresh set. It's not like you're wasting money on them, you'll still need spares. If that takes care of the problem, save the old ones for your TV remotes.
