my savage was running perfect before the winter, and i took it apart yesterday and made sure the carb and engine was clean. when i tried to start it today. it wouldnt start, i checked the glow plug and everything seemed fine. the gas is spitting out the exhaust so it's obviously making it through the engine. i drained the whole roto start battery trying to get it going. the temperature is around -2 degrees Celsius outside. Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong????

That's fairly cold,did you preheat the engine before trying to start it? It's helps tremendously when it's that cold.

I'm in Sudbury ontario, it was -13 today. I had to preheat my K5.9 with a hair drier to about 150 degrees before it started. Hopefully this helps
I'm in Newfoundland, it was 0 degrees C today so i tried the hairdryer and preheated the 4.6 to 125 F and used a brand new battery for the glow plug igniter. got it going in a matter of minutes and then has some fun by burning a tank of gas doing donuts and drifts in the snow. thanks for the help!
