i have a savage x 4.6 and when i give it gas with the ignitor on the glow plug its fine and stays running but as soon as i take it off and give it about half throttle or maybe a little bit less it dies, I've checked my plug and its still good so what could the problem be.

I was running into that same problem when my motor was just broken in. in my case, it was not warming up enough. Try heating it with a heat gun or blow dryer before you start it.

but i have adjustrd the low speed needle to right before the engine begins to bogg, the engine stays running when i take the ignitor off but as soon as i give it gas it dies at about half throttle but if i leave the ignitor on it stays running at any throttle position, this is really stressin me out.

You are obviously adjusting it too much. Never turn it more than 1/16 turn when you are trying to find it's sweet spot, and give it blips on the throttle so the engine can clear out before running it. If you still have a problem, but you notice it is better, adjust it a hair more.

what exactly do you mean by blips, like quick throttle shots

Yep. I usually "blip" mine while the heater is still on the plug to avoid stalling when firing it up for the first time in a day. After about 20 seconds of gently blipping, it's cleared enough of the built up fuel and is warm enough to stay running.

Nitro's need blipping pretty much constantly if it's tuned for bashing (on the rich side). Racers don't have the problem as bad due to running a bit more lean, but they still have it too. Just take a look at an actual RC race vid on youtube. You will see them all getting the crap blipped out of them to keep them cleared out for the beginning of the race.

thanks a bunch guys, thats why i love this site, people on here are so nice as to helpin another person, anyways i spent the day tuning my savage i completely cleaned out my motor and carb, put a new glow plug in filled it up and she started right away i spent some time tuning it and boom now it runs fine. thanks again guys.

ok this my first time owning one so I'm still trying to figure it out what is the LOW SPEED NEEDLE?

High speed needle is on the fuel in fitting:from tank to carb
Mid-range needle is more of a sprayer bar than a needle.
^^racers more than anyone tune with this^^ stock setting is fine for most people
Low speed needle is on the side of the carb the moves (opens&closes)
