Savage or T-Maxx

I'm looking at buying a new truck and looking at the savage and t maxx i posted a thread on here and everybody told me to buy savage for what I'm doing racing mt class but much more bashing.. but how does the t maxx compare i hear the savage is the toughest truck you can get??? :shrug:

savage. its the most durable nitro mt out there bar none. i beat the living hell out of mine over these last couple of days. (made a 4 foot launch ramp ) the only thing that broke was my front bumper. sry no vids the town tore it down, damn!

Compared to the Maxx, the Sav is much more durable. I haven't read your other thread, but if you are going to do a fair amount of racing in the MT class, you may want to consider the Revo, too. I have a Sav 4.6 and I love it. Haven't broken anything on it yet. So I give it a huge thumb's up.

Yea i thought about the Revo but its out of my price range and i can get a savage 25 rtr for 400 at my LHS is it a good price

Between the Savage or the Tmaxx... Savage. No contest. Don't expect much of a racer out of the box though. Might look at some of the truggies if you want both. Just my opinion.

Wow its been a while since I saw a Maxx or Savage thread.. But yeah, I agree with the rest. Savage Hands down. If you do plan to race though, you might want to save for the Revo. Its alot easier to make track ready and is a good basher. But again the savage is the toughest truck out there. Hands down.

i have to agree with the rest ,i have owned both and IMO you have to buy and upgrade too many things on the T-maxx to just go thru a day of bashing and not break anything ,i am not saying the savage is bullet proof by no means but they take a helluva beating and keep running compared to the maxx

It should really be between the Savage and Revo, if you plan on racing you may want to save up for the Revo. If you want to bash, Savage period.

Savage is tough but handles like a brick on wheels.....if you can get a savage for 400 then what's wrong w/ saving another 30 bucks for a revo???? seriously my LHS is selling them for 230 and 6 bucks shipping.....If they are doing that I'm sure there's Forum sponsors here that can do similar.....
