Anyone know of a place to get the parts I see at UK sites for the kit for installing LST shocks on a savage? I've searched around and didn't find much. I found stuff where guys made their own, but I don't have the tools or know how to do it.

Just something I'm pondering for a winter upgrade/mod to my savage. I'm kind of tired of running buggy shocks. Mine need totally rebuilt and by the time I spend all the $ on them to make them like new, I could have bought a full set of LST shocks off of ebay.

Any US links would be appreciated.

Thanks.

pm wannarunem.. he bought some mount hardware for his.. he knows who sell um.

here is the link to what he must have bought....

Remeber there is another way.. I just made a top bracket and drilled a hole in my Aarm. Sometimes on big airs the screw gets bent but thats better than a bracket getting bent up.. Although I belive the guys brackets above have now been updated to a beefyer bracket to help with the bending issues..

yes skip has the correct link ...i just ordered a set from kudos & have received them...but i bought them when he had some on ebay, they come in 3mm & 5mm mounts for the racer or basher...they look to be verry well made & have some good reveiws in this thread https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27718

skip if i read right, how you mounted them requires offset rims right? correct me if I'm wrong

No I drilled the holes about where the bracket puts them, so I can run any whell tire combo I want..

Skip,

Do you have any closeup shots of your mounting position? Also, what did you do on the rear? Didn't you have to move the turnbuckles to the inside so they don't interfere with the shocks? Do you sell the parts you made?

I appreciate the info.

Is this a good enough pic for ya..? As far as the rear, I have extended chassis, so there is no problem putting them on the inside and running the links on the outside.. I have never even tryed putting the LST shocks on a stock length savage..

Oh and I do make them for people that ask, but I dont have any untill the middle of January..

Yep, that's what I was looking for. You don't run offset wheels do you? If you don't, do you have clearance from the tire to the shock on full turn?

These ones in the pic are X 75's, but I have mounted 40 series and those are the most inset wheels I know of and they fit fine....

Nah... I don't think I will. To much tower flex. You may be stock, but I've seen you break stock shocks with easy wrecks... I think I'm going to try 8 buggy shocks instead of 4. Less stress per shock and it won't bend my towers the way it does now.

BIG AIR BABY!
