Heres the deal...i have a hpi savage that still has the .25 engine in it....i want to go to a bigger engine without having to buy a conversion kit or engine mount to do the change....what would be the biggest size of engine i can do this with?

Don't need a conversion kit. Most any .21 and up should fit.

What are you wanting to spend?

Yeah... it's not like the t-maxx. Most 21's-32's will fit without to many headaches. Getting the roto start to fit may be an issue, but if you can live with a pull starter (which I prefer), then there are many sizes/brands to choose from. It just depends on how deep your pockets are and how often you want to repair the diffs! ;)

i can sacrifice the rotostart in order to have the bigger size engine.....i have a pull start to put on but just havent seen the need for a pullstart on the 25 engine.....the diffs are no problem becaust they are titanium anyhow.....i was just wandering what the biggest size or best size engine i can upgrade to without getting a new motor mount or conversion kit.....i was thinking maybe a 30 size?........the engine will also need to clear the rc solutions roll cage that i have mounted to my savage.....a os.46 would be nice but that one does require a different mount & conversion kit........i do prefer os engines myself on nitro planes but i am fairly new to trucks/cars and maybe there is a better brand of engine other that os?.....as far as cost of the engine that is not a problem for me as long as its not over bout $250.00

There are several engines out there that are under the $150 range. You dont really need to spend over that for a good motor unless perhaps you just want to.

i like my 4.6 in the savage good power/tunes nice, decent price 150 or so, you could also put in the surefire 32 in it
