savage 25 spur gear problems

hi can any one tell me why the nut on my spur gear keeps coming loose

Sometimes the plastic in the nylock nut wears out from heat and or being put on and taken off a lot. Try a new nylock nut or alittle bit of blue thread lock.

New nut + blue gel thread lock. That should keep it from backing off on you.
